Fashion Week
camilla bruerberg
Camilla Bruerberg is a Norwegian menswear designer who founded her label C/BRUERBERG in 2010 at Oslo Fashion Week. Her latest collection, SOUP, uses a variety of different materials to create pieces focused on the fusion of knit and digital print. In February, she took part in Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s showcase ‘Ones to Watch MEN’ a long with Asger Juel Larsen where she presented a collection of sheer knitted pieces which included horizontal banding and crochet, the models wore crazy head pieces and scarves made of threaded, frayed wool in orange, green and mustard. Maybe she’ll be the first acclaimed Norwegian men’s wear designer??

Summer Bling…
I love jewelery, and I can never have enough! I especially love edgy jewelery, and right now I would love to add these pieces to my collection. This amazing ear cuff from Duncan Steven was originally made for Africa Fashion week, and 15% of the profits from this piece will be donated to the RSCC (Rare Species Conservation Trust) whom have wildlife conservation programmes all over the world.
These earrings from the Norwegian designer Anne Holm Alexandersen would look great with some messy beach hair for the summer nights.
This ring from designer Gina Melosi would look fantastic on a tanned summer hand with some coral colored nail polish.
I have to keep on dreaming though, because right now I am poor as a church mouse.
…………….
Every piece of jewelery, and many more can be bought at Not Just A Label
Se hvordan du kan hjelpe her.
Ann Demeulemeester
These are dark times, Ann. I’ve seen a lot of leather and dark tones since NYFW in feb. I really like the Diesel Black Gold collection, but Ann Demeulemeester surprised me big time! Loads of details, cool cuts, both simple and over-the-top designs, patterns, knit patterns, texture. I think Ann’s got it all.
Look #1: Great cut, innovative collar design, a lot of texture with the belt and something that looks like fur under it. Love the wrinkled leather gloves.
Look #2: Conservative cut, light fabrics, pulling off the waistcoat.
Look #1: Great details on the coat, tasseling leather details. A rough version of Chanel’s skirt suit.
Look #2: Fur coat by the looks of.
Look #1: Draped dress. Love it! Look #2: Love the zigzag details on the jacket, funky looking belt, loads of leather. Look #3: LOVE the zigzag knit sweater. Look #4: Not my cup of tea.
OFW AW2011 | My favorites

Last seasons celebrity "designers" really hurt the credibility of Norwegian designers and Oslo Fashion Week in general. I was absolutely furious at the time, but the standard has been so much better this season. I'm actually really impressed! Kudos for responding to our critic and raising the standard. Quality over quantity. Here's a recap of my favorites.Img source: (Armando Santos by me) 1/2. Kristian Aadnevik by Espen Brenli 3. C / Bruerberg by Espen Brenli 4/5/6/7. Blue thou art, intensely blue; Flower, whence came thy dazzling hue?

Tried this inside thing again, mostly because it's freezing outside. Wearing an over-sized floral vest from Kmarts "Love Your Style, Love Your Size" collection. I absolutely love it! Oslo Fashion Week is over for now, or at least for me; but I'll probably be posting some more favorites this weekend.Wearing a sheer floral vest from Kmart, vintage belt, stockings from Cubus and lace-top from Jennifer Taylor. CARIN WESTER INTERVIEW
I made this little spontan interview / (inspiration movie) with Ms. Carin Wester, after her show during the Stockholm fashion week…
Fam Irvoll

Slik så forresten håret mitt ut i kveld;

New York v.2
New York, New York. Never a dull moment. Especially now, during fashion week and all that jazz. So, another day has gone by, and I have loads of pictures to share. Style sightings and a few surprises. Enjoy!
Ohh so what, he doesn’t dress preppy. Very original, I loved it!
Lincoln Center is now the new arena for fashionistas. Loads of street photographers running around!
I really loved her style. I want that sweater!
Everyone knows that I’m fur friendly. Why wouldn’t I love this outfit? 1. There’s fur. 2. There’s velvet loafers in the picture!
Funny story. I’m not very media friendly, and I rarely do interviews. It was cold outside, so I took Izzy’s scarf and covered my head as a joke. What do you know?! The next minute, some camera crew comes up to me wanting to do an interview with me. I had such an original style. Well, of course I do. I’m The Fashionista. But you’ll never see me with a burka again. Ever.

Fur and Birkin. Love the heels as well. Job well done, miss!
Guess who we met! Here’s Miss Jay and I.

soulland aw 11 presentation in paris
Fall 2011 menswear – Van Note, Viktor & Rolf, LV
One sentence is needed to explain my appreciation over these three collection, respectively from Dries Van Noten, Viktor & Rolf and Louis Vuitton, all Fall 2011 menswear collections.
The one sentence: The old, the new and the boring.
Right, so lets start with the old: Dries Van Noten. I’m very disappointed. I’ve seen it all before. The jackets, coats. Dries is talking about wanting something glamorous without it being feminine. Well, job not well done, you’re fired. Anything new at all? Hmm, a simple change to the design of the collar. Nothing to rejoice for.
The new is of course Louis Vuitton. Yes, it is mr. Obvious. If you ask me, Louis Vuitton always comes up with something innovative. Innovative doesn’t necessarily mean good looking, something you’d wear, but it’s unseen. It’s like wanting to see who’s beneath the mask of Darth Vader, only you know you’ll never, and than one day you actually get to see his face. I was surprised in every way, from the cut to the design.
And last but not least, the boring. WHen I first saw this collection, I thought sports attire from H&M. Seriously. I’m sorry Viktor, I’m sorry Rolf, but you kind of failed for fall this year. I don’t want to wear sloppy or baggy pants and a vest for fall, I’m looking for something in between the lines of Dries Van Noten and Louis Vuitton.
Remember guys, these are my opinions, and you come here to see what the cruel reality for a designer is. I’m sure I’ll get shot for being so honest one day, but this is what I do, this is why designers invite me to their shows during fashion week. They hope to make it to the next level. If I slaughter, I slaughter hard. Anna Wintour, look out, the Ice King is in town.
About Fashionable February
Yesterday I made a list, where I wrote down everything that will happen in February, and it was not exactly small.
Now it's only a week left until I also go "Back to Reality" My Fashion Consultant school begins next Monday, plus I have two collaborative projects on time, and much else, and your blog is also updated. February 7 is Moteuka(A week before theOslo Fashion Week. 200 showrooms and 500 trademarks, relaxation hours, tastings, entertainment and lots of fun. When it is over there OFW from 14-20, and the week after is the StockholmFashion Week, but do not know if I get raised. It is very much atonce. Most importantly, Oslo! An exciting half of it is in any case.
Now I pack a bit, and then travel back to Hamar again and be thereover the weekend. Much back and forth, but that's it, now I must have some lunch soon before I starve to death ....
