My New Partner In Crime…

Here she is, my new partner in crime, Luise. She is the new contributor to fashionaffair and my new companion.

Me and Luise go way back. We’ve studied together for about 2 years, and we both spent half a year in the fashion capital of the world, Paris, as a part of our studies.

Let me tell you – this girl is a fashion addict, but not in the conventional I-want-all-the-new-trends kind of way, but in the nerdier way! Yes-I said it! She is a NERD, but hey being called a fashion-nerd is quite the compliment in my world!

I know she’ll be a great addition to fashionaffair, and I hope you will all, like me, welcome  her with open arms!

Welcome Lui!!!!!

The Monday Morning Blues….

What a day yesterday!!!! A rough start to an even more busy week than last week…ah… Oh well, at least I got some good news; me and my BF are now the proud owners of a (bigger) appartement on Vesterbro!!!! YEAY!!!!

By the way, sorry for the sad excuse for a picture. And,  NO, my hair has not gotten any shorter, it was just a bad hair day.

WOW – such positivity huh….     ;-)

………….

I was wearing Acne Cypress boots, pants Cos, knit Nué notes, watch Nixon and bracelet Aldo.

The Next Best Thing…

As you know, I have been chasing the blue Celine clutch for quite some time. Sadly I found out that the clutch was from Celines 2010 collection AKA impossible to find. But today I found the next best thing – Comme des Garcons clear blue pouch, and I absolutely LOVE it!!!!

Isn’t it pretty!!!???? I think it will be one of my accessory-favorites during spring/summer  :-)

Coming up for air…..

I  am TRULY sorry for the lack of uploads this week. School work has devoured all my time, leaving my mind and body completely drained for energy and inspiration. I’ll do my best to prevent this from happening again, but at the same time it is important for me that I don’t just write something on my blog to fill out the “empty space”. I want it to come from the heart and be genuine.

Anyway, today has been yet another lovely Saturday in Cph. with sunshine and happy people. My plan for today has been doing absolutely nothing but RELAXING and reload my batteries….

I decided to pimp my Balenciaga bag with a fox tale, and I am happy with the result. They suit each other perfectly   ;-)

Even though it has been a sunny day it is STILL cold, and then a coffee at Café Viggo on Værnedamsvej works wonders.

………

Today I was wearing shirt from Whyred, jeans Current/Elliot, coat Oasis, sneakers New Balance, bag Balenciaga and RayBan’s.

Hooked….

Lip Glow from Dior is an absolute essential & a must-have-at-all-times in my make-up kit! It is simply amazing!

Once you apply it on your lips, it enhances your own lip color and leaves a beautiful but discrete pink glow to your. I also  dab it on to my cheeks for that natural rosy freshness.

If you haven’t tried it, you definitely should! Quite sure you’ll get hooked as well

……………

Blown away…

Nowadays, as soon as there’s a hint of the sunlight outside, my mind immediately goes into SPRING-MODE!  And that most definitely has been the case today.

But the wind!!!!

The wind in Denmark can really piss me off! It ruins a perfectly beautiful & sunny day and turns it into a cold one with runny eyes  and a sniffy nose. I therefore have a suggestion to the Danish authorities. When it comes to planning of the danish infrastructure, ever considered building some fake mountains to prevent the wind..?!

Works wonders in Norway   ;-)

Thank God for 7-eleven on each corner, where I can warm up on a huge cup of coffee. Maybe not the BEST coffee there is, but hey, desperate times call for desperate measures.

By the way, the hot steam from the coffee was a great way to defrost my nose. Great tip, huh..

…………..

I was wearing boots from Sendra, shorts Helmut Lang, knit Cos, leather jacket Topshop, vest Pieszak, RayBan’s and Balenciaga bag.

03032011

Just another day in school working in groups on a case in Logistics. Not my favorite subject, but you gottta’ do what you gotta’ do   ;-)

I was wearing pistol boots from Acne, skirt Zara, top Cos, leather jacket Topshop, knit Just Female, hood from H&M, bag Pink Punk and my iPhone holder from Nué notes.

……….

Suit up for spring…

Remember I told you earlier that I had ordered the creamy white suit from Filippa K? Well, now it has arrived, and wooooow!!! It is so beautiful, and I can’t wait to wear it!

Initially I was decided to team it up with the wide trousers in the same color & fabric, but instead I chose to go for the tighter, cropped pants since that was more tomboyish aka MY style.

……………

Everyday inspiration….

Some people seem to be born with their own sense of style. These people  follow the beat of their own drum, and are not slaves to designer trends and tendencies.

My friend Louise is DEFINITELY one of those people. Her style is simple yet always with a personal twist. She is a genius when it comes to vintage shopping and  redefining old items which I would have tossed in the bin years ago.

I’ve always admired people who have this skill, because it is one I truly lack. Neither do I think this is something you can learn. But even if I’ve made peace with my fashion limitations, I still have the pleasure of being inspired by people such as Louise and maybe in time I can pick up a tip or two. I sure do think my bank advisor would appreciate it….

I Am Running Amok….

Love my new Nike running shoes. They give great stability. In addition the the dynamic support of the LunarGlide adapts to your stride throughout your run to provide the stability your foot needs, making it ideal for underpronators to moderate overpronators.

Only issue I have now is that the last couple of weeks I have been experiencing pain and lack of flexibility in my right Achilles, also known as Achilles tendinitis. And therefore my shoes won’t be used for running for a while….and for me that is seriously the worst that could happen. But obviously my body needs rest, and so I have to obey.

Sucks :-(

Taken by STORM…

Yesterday I stopped by Storm in Store Regnegade 1, Cph to look for the blue Celine clutch I have been obsessing over, but once you’ve entered the shop, it is almost impossible to leave. The shop retails designers such as Celine, Dries van Noten, Comme des Garcons, Ann Demeulemeester and if that isn’t enough to make you surrender to Storms amazing universe, you can indulge yourself in their selection of fashion forward books on art & design, Cd’s containing eclectic music, iconic photos and DVDs. The best way for me to describe Storm is by saying that it is the danish version of the Parisian pride, Collette.

So when in Copenhagen, you know where to go! It will definitely be worth your while.

So, did I find the blue wonder? Nope, but I did find these two beauties.

This one in navy/yellow will look amazing for summer.

This one is by far my favorite of the two. The color, the leather – so beautiful, and more of a classic than the other one. But even though I really loved the beige/black clutch, I can’t stop thinking about the blue one and so by the excellent service from Storm, tomorrow I will know whether or not they’ll get it.

I’ll keep you posted   :-)

Swoooooon….

I HAVE to have a blue bag for spring!!! It looks amazing teamed with black….sigh…..

13022011

Today me and my bf was at a baptism for his niece at Islands Brygge. I was wearing my new dress from Zara, and YIKES it was cold! Fashion sure can be a bit of a bitch at times here in Scandinavia   ;-)

Color splash…

Let’s face it – Jil Sander is a genius!

I would love to own both of these clutches from Jimmy Choo too brighten up any outfit!!!

The irony of life…

After my exam I was suppose to grasp life by the balls and have the time to do all the things I haven’t been able to do while preparing for it. Instead I have ended up lying in bed, sick as a dog. Obviously it is a virus so I can’t do much but sleep and wait until it is over.

I am so sorry for the lack of updates on my blog, but when I am sick all my inspiration seem to be whisked away.

I can tell you that something exciting is about to happen on my blog in  the near future, and of course as soon as I am up and running I promise  I’ll be back stronger than ever  ;-)

Color combos….

After having seen Celine’s pre-fall 2011 collection, I have gone completely gaga for color combinations such as navy, burgundy and mustard yellow. My wardrobe favorites at the moment is therefore my striped knitted jumper from Nué, my flared trousers in indigo blue from Acne teamed with my Nixon watch.

Another favorite is my mustard jersey from Acne men’s spring 2011 collection. Looks great teamed with dark blue denim, grey and burgundy.

I will definitely go for these colors this spring, in addition to white and dusty pink. ….I know, I am such a planner ;-)

Flamboyante…

Treated myself with a new lipstick from Chanel’s spring collection in the color Flamboyante. It is a really beautiful bright red that I can wear both day and night because it is not too hard.

It is the perfect red for “first timers”  :-)

Done, done & done!

This is me being a nervous wreck before going in to my oral exam to defend my paper…and now it is O-V-E-R!!!!! I am so relieved and sooooo happy!!!!

Finally I can start living again – and hopefully get rid of the bags under my eyes :-)
