Yesterday I left my home at 08.00 to be a bartender at Mysteryland, which is one of the largest electronic festival in the world with 50 000 people. After working for 12 hours at the festival and then waiting to get paid I got home at 03.30. Totally dead. Bartending at such festivals is extremely hectic as the stream of people never stop, it just keeps going and going.
I am definitely going back as a visitor next year and not as a worker. It was real torture standing working beside the Tiesto tent, knowing you won’t be there dancing at all.
The worst thing is that you earn so bad in the Netherlands compared to Norway. All of my friends back there earn at least around 120 kr/15 euro and above, while i earn 58 kr/7 euros and hour. It’s such a difference to Norway, compared to the price level of everything here. The only thing that is slightly cheaper here is groceries, for the rest most of the stuff has the same price level as in Norway + plus i need to pay stinking 110 euros a month in health-insurance. And then you still see these blogger girls whining about the fact that they can’t go to the café and drink their cappuccino. We have it so extremely good in people, and the people don’t even know it, because they are so extremely spoiled many of them.
It happens often that the dutch television channels send out Norwegian kids show, and today it was the movie Orps(one time at the bandcamp kinda thing.) So today I’ve been siting inside, watching norwegian telly as the weather is so extremely bad.

The date says that it should still be summer here in the Netherlands, but unfortunately the weather man is giving us something else. It’s weird how the weather can decide your mood sometimes, I really feel better when there is sun outside. I got my new leather jacket in the mail yesterday, but I can’t use it yet because of all the rain. My nice new black leather jacket, I’m so in love with it that I could probably even sleep with it.
The last couple of days has been spent cleaning and fixing some paperwork for my internship. Not the most interesting stuff, but stuff that must be done. Can’t wait to start working though and get some routine into my life. Tomorrow im signing up at this gym so I can start taking Zumba and Yoga classes.
Today I gave away my old tv to a friend of mine. I really love giving away stuff. If there is one job that would be perfect for me then it must be being Santa Claus. haha, ok I’m totally random today. Don’t really have much to say so I’ll stop before I start wondering off about lame things again.
oh, only one thing. If I can get one thing for christmas , then I wish for a cleaning woman. The must be the perfect gift, or just loads of money.

Beans

A good laugh can get you a long way it seems as i’m feeling a lot better today. The food yesterday was good, even though I managed to embarrass myself several times.
At this sushi restaurant you can order small portions of whatever you want as many times as you want. So as fancy as I am I ordered a portion of green beans.
Then they show up and I realise that I haven’t eaten such beans in a long time and is greener than them on how to eat them. Therefore my friend who is chinese shows me this fancy way of sucking the inside of the bean out. She made it look all simple and stuff, however when I did it. What happened? The round thing inside the bean finds out that it is way better to jump out in the middle, a cross the room and onto the floor beside another table.
I even managed to do it three times. I dunno if anyone saw me doing it as I mostly kept my head down, shaking of all the laughter. We also used several minutes just checking out if anyone would actually step on it. Must be allowed too be a bit childish sometimes he?
After the food we took a stroll trough Red Light District(whore streets) on our way home. I sincerely feel bad for many of the girls behind those windows. With the right guidance and opportunities most of them would work perfect in normal jobs. We had a lecture at school from a human trafficking organisation and they told us that most of the girls in Red Light District is around 17 years old, who came there through men tricking them into believing they were going to work at restaurants and stuff in the Netherlands. Sometimes I’m really happy I’m from a small town in Norway.
Anyways, I went to Ikea today. Yay for putting together Ikea stuff. Wish me good luck.
I just need somebody to love

Today is one of those days were you just want to lay in bed all day, watching telly and eat candy. The weather is horrible, I have a fever, everything hurts, the time of the month and a lump behind my ear that I have no clue what is. You better go away untill tomorrow lump, or else mrs. doctor will have to take a look at you.
Anyways, even though I should probably be in bed, im on my way out the door to go to Amsterdam with a girlfriend. We are going to a sushi place. I don’t eat sushi, but japanese meat is so delicious. As it is all you can eat, I have a feeling ill be rolling home again and hopefully the wasabi can take my fever and lump away.
