To buy or not to buy – that definitely is the question. I’ve wanted a new straightening iron for about a year now, especially since Cookie taught me how to do ribbon curls this Christmas. With fear of sounding like some girl from an advert: I can’t believe I can have gorgeous, soft 40’s curls in about five minutes. But I can, all I need is a straightening iron that won’t make me cringe every time I use it (with my old one you can practically hear the damage it causes).

The ghd straightening irons are practically legend in the fashion world, and everyone praise them to the skies. In Norwegian shops they cost about 1800 NOK ($320 or £190), which I find rather crazy.
