Shes a 13 year old bloger with an amazing sence of style. She have met designer we only could dream about meeting. Her clothes is so colourful and special.

Hes a Filipino fashion blogger. He won the 2007 Philippine Blog Award for Best Fashion & Lifestyle Blog.
His sence of style is a lot different than alot of other guys - but thats just fabulous!

My Favourite Blogs

Since I started writing this blog in September this year, I’ve been reading other fashion blogs – both to get tips about fashion and to find out what I think makes a great fashion blog. With time I’ve found some favourites, and I thought it would be nice to share them with you

The blogs are put in a random order, by the way (they’re all so good!).

♥ Childhood Flames ♥

Camille has a very clean and simplistic-looking blog, which gives a professional impression. It’s packed with lots of pictures of her outfits, simple and often rather sculptural clothes in mostly black, white and grey (and she wears them perfectly!). This girl loves her heels – as do I. She also has a good knowledge of designers, and sometimes posts pictures from her favourite collections. Once in a while she’ll show us her current DIY-project, usually with a step-by-step description of how she made the piece (thank you, thank you, thank you). Does a good job with posting frequently so we don’t have to wait too long.

♥ Elinkan ♥

A gorgeous girl with a gorgeous blog! Elin’s personal style consists of lots of vintage/second hand-pieces, often feminine dresses and coats, though it’s never too cute. Her ability to accessorize is impeccable, and she’s not afraid to use more dramatic items such as big bows or glasses. Still, her overall look never gives the impression of being weighed down or too “constructed” – she really knows how to edit herself. Add to that her flawless makeup and signature, platinum blonde bob, and you’ve got the perfect eyecandy. Even though the pictures are the main focus in her blog, she also has some interesting thoughts about style and fashion, but mostly writes about her everyday activities. Simply an adorable blog.

♥ La Couturier ♥

This girl knows how to write about fashion! Although she does post carefully selected pictures, her blog is much more literary than the two blogs I’ve mentioned previously. Her “voice” is witty, warm and to-the-point – what more could one look for in a girl? I also like that although the tone of the blog is light and easily accessible, it’s clear she’s done her homework and learnt her fashion terms and references. The layout of the blog is unclutteed and elegant, and the items in the sidebar do not distract from the posts themselves (I personally cannot stand those blogs that automatically play music when you open them, or have a ton of flashing/moving things that demand attention. I usually try to give them a second chance, but my first impression is rather ruined). My favourite post of hers this far is “The story of one skirt & six women“, which is wonderfully imaginative!

♥ Nothing Elegant ♥

The charmingly absurd header of this one is worth a look on its own! It always makes me smile. Tara’s posts have a lovely variety to them; she’s written about everything from fashionable books (hey, who else did that..?

, vintage textiles and current collections to certain brands, painters and even some home decorating items. One of her strengths is that she’s able to find interesting topics/images that not everybody else are writing about (yes, I do to see how celebrities dress, but when I see the same photo in five blogs, I get a little bored). She also knows how to balance the amount of text and pictures; there’s neither too much nor too little of either.

♥ Bittelitt Britt ♥

A Norwegian blog (both as in the location of its writer and the language itself) with a nice and tidy design and inspiring pictures. Britt writes about many different topics, and does some great posts about shopping in Norway (such as when this incredible hat became available in the Norwegian H&M webstore. I’ll be forever in your debt, Britt!). She also tells us just enough about her personal life – enough to make you feel like you get to know her a bit, but not so much that it’s no longer a blog about fashion.

Those are some of my favourites, though Sea of Shoes, Life by Ida, Coco’s Tea Party and Cherry Chapstick (Norwegian) also deserve some attention. And just in case anyone has yet to find the famous Sartorialist, I have to mention his blog too. It was the first fahion blog I ever read, and I’ve been addicted to it ever since.

I hereby challenge you to write your own post on them – which means I’ll hopefully find some new favourites to add to these (and just for the record: even if I wrote about your blog, please don’t feel pressured to write about mine out of politeness – you keeping up your fabulous blogs is more than enough of a reward!).

Blogs to read – Sea of Shoes

Jane Aldridge er den heldigste 17 åringen jeg vet om. Denne jenta har tilgang på de mest fantastiske designer klær og sko. Til tross for sin unge alder har Jane en veldig unik og kul stil. Hun er veldig flink til å sette sammen ting på litt uvanlige måter, og har masse utrolige vintage funn og one of a kind pieces. Selvom jeg kanskje ikke hadde gått med alt hun går med selv, så hadde jeg mer enn gjerne raidet skapet hennes, og spesielt den jummy skohylla der!! Ta en kikk på bloggen til Jane her Jane Aldridge is probably the luckiest 17 year old I know of. Having access to the most amazing designer clothes and shoes. Despite her young age Jane has a unique and cool style. Shes very good at combining things in a little unusual way, and has a lot og vintage finds and one of a kinf pieces. Even though I wouldnt wear all the things she does, I would love to raid her closet, and specially her shoes! Check out Janes blog here
